![]() ![]() We also moved our car from Market/9th to the Market/6th garage ($15 overnight) since there was street sweeping the next morning. That evening we ate at the Gaslamp steak house which was better than expected. I'm not saying its filthy but we pay hundreds to stay at a hotel for 2 nights - I look forward to my bed being made. It would have been nice to return to a fresh room where we can relax and celebrate without the interruption of a housekeeper and the disappointment of untidy room. Maybe this is typical here? That evening was our anniversary. I have never stayed at a hotel that arrives to make your bed and clean up at 4pm!! We asked her bring us some towels and she said here. We hear a knock about an hour later - housekeeping. Considering the time we assumed they skipped us and laid down to rest for an hour before getting ready for dinner. We returned around 3pm and our room was never serviced. The next morning we headed out early for breakfast and spend the day walking around Horton Plaza. We were within walking distance for everything, a great way to check out the Gaslamp Quarter. We lucked out on the corner of Market/9th with no meters and good for overnight! As promised it is in a great location. We dropped our bags and went to park our car. Nice hardwood floors, cozy bed, huge bathroom, perfect. Check-in was quick and easy, we were up to our room in no time. We chose Hotel Indigo for it's location, nice rooms, and great price. We read over several reviews from Trip Advisor & Yelp before we booked. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Indigo for two nights while celebrating our anniversary earlier this month. It is definitely worth it! More Show less If you have the means & book it in time ask for the penthouse suite. A big thanks to Ellen who made all this happen! Wish we could have stayed longer in this fabulous room. Peppers on ice, 2 gourmet cupcakes (delicious) a personalized card and a Hotel Indigo bag with lots of chocolate candy bars. On top of all that, in the living room were 2 Dr. Everything was super nice & there was a Keurig rather than your average coffee maker. We had a living room, bedroom, huge closet and a bathroom that was bigger than a lot of hotel rooms. (It was a great restaurant & she gave us a coupon for a free appetizer) The room was simply beautiful! There was a fantastic view from the 12th floor & we could see the rooftop bar below. Check-in staff was very helpful & made a restaurant recommendation for the birthday boy's special night. While checking in, I was informed that due to our Platinum status we were being upgraded to a suite on the top floor. When we got there, the valet was waiting curbside to assist with our luggage. I was told they would make sure he had a little something extra in our room. I e-mailed the hotel & told them we would be celebrating my husband's 50th birthday that night & was there anything they could do to make his stay a little more special? They promptly returned my e-mail asking what he liked & I let them know he liked Dr. We used our Reward Nights to book a King non-smoking room. ![]() ![]() ![]()
